It’s one of the most popular questions but for us we are happy to detail on how to keep your copper jewellery and copper bracelets looking just like new. We understand that if you are wearing your copper bracelet every day that there will be some wear tear but below, we have put together all the information you need to keep your copper bracelet and jewellery looking clean and shiny.

How to care for your copper jewellery?

Make sure your copper jewellery is store in a safe and dry place, when wearing your copper bracelet of jewellery ensure you do not scratch it. Most of our copper bracelets are sealed but just to be sure keep your jewellery away from sharp or textured objects. If you do get the copper jewellery wet make sure you dry it as soon as possible and it will be fine. Most of our jewellery is made with pure copper so even if you do get water or sweat on it, as long as you dry it won’t taint the copper bracelet.


What is the best way to clean a copper bracelet?

The best way to clean the copper bracelet is with warm soapy water and a dry towel. Most of our copper jewellery is made with pure copper and sealed therefore it should oxidise or go darker in colour. A soapy wash will remove any sweat, stains or spills and drying it immediately should keep the copper jewellery and copper bracelet in perfect condition.


How do you keep copper jewelry shiny?

The best way to keep it shiny is to use a jewellery cloth and use it regularly to buff away any marks or finger prints.


Can you shower with copper jewelry?

No, it wont do any harm to shower with your copper jewellery or copper bracelet but ideally if you can remove it and safeguard your copper bracelet or copper jewellery before showering or going in to water then that is the best option.


What do you soak copper in to clean it?

The best way for you to clean your copper bracelet is to soak it in warm soapy water, please do not soak for too long a minute or two should be fine. Then rub and dry the copper bracelet with a clean dry cloth.


How do you keep copper bracelets from tarnishing?

Most of our copper jewellery and copper bracelets are made with pure copper and sealed therefore they shouldn’t tarnish. As mentioned above warm soapy water and a clean dry towel is all that is required to clean copper bracelets and keep them tarnish free. Copper bracelets and copper jewellery can leave a greenish mark on your skin that is due to the absorption of copper and its benefits in to your skin. This mark can be removed with warm soapy water. If you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, have any heart or health issues please do not wear copper or magnetic jewellery and consult with your GP or medical professional.


How do you clean oxidized copper?

In the same way that you would clean normal copper bracelets, most our oxidised copper bracelets are made with pure copper and have a sealed coating therefore they would need to be kept clean and dry in the same way as a normal copper bracelet (see above for more details).
